  • Sorry, should have elaborated a little more. the thickness starts at 1" and they go down by 1/4. They also have them in the 1/16ths range, so as I was saying I have been able to find them at just about the perfect size for use as a fingerboard.
  • Hey Thanks PapaS, This one I used a pc of poplar. I have also used Red Oak and Maple. I have found all of them at Home Depot (though they can sometimes be a bit hit and miss) price is cheap and they can be found in in 1x2x2' and 1x2x3', least at my local. They run 2 to 3 bucks each and so far I have had to do minimum sanding, they tend to fit just right. Make sure you eyeball them though, they tend to have some dog legs in there sometime!
  • Nice build. Did you make the fingerboard? What kind of wood? I would like to make my own finger board. If I were to go Home Depot would they have wood cut in those dimensions?
