About 100 percent finished. The Pearl Caddy sounds a bit like a banjo, which isn't surprising, since its more or less tuned like one. Lotsa twang.

Hi Scotty C.

This one's a beauty. I should try finishing one of my home made boxes this way. With all the contrasting brass hardware it really looks cool.

I was wondering if you ever got around to building your "Bo Diddley's Twang Machine" guitar. Maybe the Pearl Caddy is a "practice run" before setting off on the Twang Machine project.

Well, good luck and happy building...

-Rand.

Classy looking build, very nice.

Jeremiah: have you thought about a multi-scale fretboard?

John: realistically, not any time soon. The closest thing I have to a video camera is the digital camera, which isnt very good. Nor is the computer's web camera. Add to that a lack of playing talent and well...

That's spectacular. I'm sure you are very pleased with it. Will you be doing a video?

Did you see the pictures of them actually using CBGs in the recording?

Tenor.  Good.

I want to build a Baritone, next. (so I can have the bad and the ugly, too.)

Just saw "Rango" with the kids - at one point, the Mariachi Owls, which narrate the story, break into a Morricone-style tune.  One of the characters is playing a blue, sparkle finish, Moserite baritone guitar!

Later, the hillbilly moles fly on bats, against our heroes.  The have a jugband augmented Ride of the Valkyries.  This includes both washtub bass... and cigar box guitars!

Not  bad for one little kids cartoon.

It's not a bass, it's a tenor guitar.

What strings? You got bass hardware.

Seem like you could do EADG - if that ain't boring. :-)
