Nope not square neck. Its round neck. Research shows it is likely still from Regal but seems to be a mass produced student guitar sold through only God knows. Its already becoming a favorite.
Interestingly it has a original thin brass saddle in the bridge, I have never seen that before it makes a difference too I like like tonal characteristics. I believe I will start using brass saddles more often now.
That is a nice old git. Even has the teaching marks on the fret board. Birch top. Man, it would be hard for me to decide whether to leave it as is or modify it.
Chit. I should not look at your stuff. Makes me want to do a cat bowl conversion and I don't have a git on hand that I want to butcher. :(
