olive wood chopping boards.

saw these olive wood chopping boards in a delicatessen. anyone else look at this picture and cant help thinking a interesting looking guitar could be made from this wood rather than decorative kitchen utensils?

    thanks for that website. i cant find anything big enough for a fretboard but i'm sure some of the guys around here could find something for a solid body cbg CHEERS!

    thanks for that link doc. i asked my luthier teacher about the possibilities of olive wood and he said it was good for fretboards. that got the thinking. of cource those boards in the pic were only a inch thick. but like roger said the shape is great!

    That top one I wouldn't change the shape at all, it would look great as is. Now to find a neck to match.
