I was so pleased with the sound coming out of these piezo budget models (still selling almost faster than i can make them), i decided to build one as a keeper - result lefty 4 string with maple fret board. I added a fretted bridge and sealed tuners but same big sound coming from my old stock box and special piezo from USA....the secret is in the super-piezo - correctly placed, mounted and damped they can compete with many budget magnetic pickups i've heard... but you'll have to buy one to find out...!!
