Laminated neck from standard 3/4" x 1/2" pine molding. Not sure that it's easier than cutting a larger board to size, but it does offer a simple solution for those with limited access to tools. Plus the laminating has to offer some extra rigidity to the pine. A single string doesn't create much bending force on this neck, though.
