Poor man's neck clamps, made from rubber bands and huge washers. I suppose nuts would work, too. Put them on twice around while you get the position set, then rewrap each one to three times around for a good tight seal. I used hot hide glue, which I was sure would not work but so far has been just fine. Not hard to use, just follow the directions.
