It took quite a while on my belt sander to shape the block to the bowl. I added it to beef up the rim and neck hole to help keep from cracking the bowl tacking on the head.

Our super bowl is coming up the 11th and12th of April. Empty Bowl fundraiser for our food bank. I've done it since it started over 20 years ago. It's Super!
Yup, it took about an hour till it set down tight. It made a good guide slot for installing my neck after the hide was on. It lined up the end pin screw. That can be a challenge. Getting the screw in it,s hole.
Nice bowl! Looks like a good tight fit on the block. I've had to do that on some gourd builds - man I hate trying to fit something like that. too many changing angles!
