  • Thanks guys, I hand carved the smaller one (25" tall) in 1997 and wanted to do it in a much larger version so I bought the large one (52" tall) which was "roughed out" which means that the log is pre shaped using a duplicating machine. I started it in 1997 and soon lost interest and desire to carve and never finished it. I found out many years later that I had a brain tumor and apparently that is what caused my lack of desire to carve or build anything. the tumor was successfully removed January 2009 and eventually all of my skills, interests and desires to carve and build came back to me.

This big guy has been sitting around in its current unfinished state for the last 16 years and my Wife made me promise to finish it for her before I start any other CBGs. She is right, I really need to finish it. So this is my next project!

  • Nice work~!
