  Hi eric thats a volume knob right there, i was gonna put a tone pot in as well but seeing as this is what it is i didnt feel i needed to.
  And yes fella it should work just dandy so go for it. Every one off these boxes sound different and besides anything go's as there's no RULES................

  volume knob? tone knob? I gotta try it -- but not sure how it'd work with the Radio Shack 273-073 piezo --- what do you think?
