My first pickup... Sort of.

I took a Cheap Chinese potted single coil and made a fake top out of the scraps from inside the boxes. Added some tacks and glued to the top. Then I wrapped the sides in twine. Very cheap pickup under $5 total.

It works out even cheaper if you wind your own mate ;-) good job.
