  • Mistakes happen to give you creative opportunities.  The best laid plan, and all that!  Nice one, DMR!

  • Glad you saved it.  That's how it goes.

  • Thanks for the encouragement!
  • Mine are never mistake free either, hey that's how you learn. Good news I was always able to fix the goofs. Built this one about 3 times to get it right. Never give up!
  • Nice work, especially for a first!
Every time I build one, I make a different kind of mistake.
  • I like what you did with the sound holes. I wanted to do something like that on one of my recent guitars but just couldn't visualize it. Now I have an example!

  • Ashton Churchill......A really good sounding box.  Nice job.

  • Yes I did cut it too thin and it would not stay in tune. So I took it apart again and beefed up the neck all the way through. It worked. I bought the neck from gutty for 60 bucks. Won't do that again. Now I make my own.
  • Way to go,  DMR.  Looks like an excellent build for me.   Lots of good work here.   Hmm.  I hope you didn't cut the neck too thin as it goes through the box.
