Maple veneer glued into fret slots

This turned out OK. The lines are obvious with great contrast but they are nice and thin. I used liquid hide glue since it cleans up so easy. I did the initial leveling with a blade removed from one of my hand planes that is super sharp and finished the leveling with a small wood sanding block and 320 grit paper. I then sprayed one more coat of Mohawk pre catalyzed lacquer and I'm pleased with the outcome.
