  • Hey LittleBig. Nope, no varnish. That's pure box.
  • This one is looking great ... I have came back to this photo a few times, I have been asking myself, do you vernish ? ... I could not be able to tell if this guitar is vernished or not. I learned a great tip from a great woodworker, it is you sand with 000 sandpaper and then vernish lightly (no taint in vernish) and let dry, and then repeat a second time sand and vernish, and repeat a third time sand and vernish. The first layer is all for the wood, it will protect it deep inside and will give it strength and quality, the second layer is for the surface so nothing can harm the wood in deep, the third one is for the finnish look and feel and it will give the wood something like leather aspect and touch and feel depending on the woods. Don't apply other synthetics like car finnish or so because it will not let the wood breathe and will damage it a lot. You need to carefully let the wood dry the vernish but not in direct sunshine expose. The results are really amazing !
