Yes I bought it on ebay & yes the pictures werent that clear and no I didnt request more detailed pictures.Upon arriving from the US this "newly made" dulcimer had rusty strings which snapped when I attempted to tune them. The pegs are placed in such a way that when you tune one string it rubs against another peg and puts that string out of tune. Also note the body of the beast isnt centred so the sound does not sit under the strings... it is however playable for the time being until the base board snaps.

  • I accually like the off set body, Inperfetions are what make things perfect, most people say when life gives you lemons make lemonade. I say when life gives you lemons,, throw them at cars :). looks like a good chance to fix it the way you like it, and if it doesnt work throw it at a car.
  • Maybe you could contact Jay at tinyguitars he is a member here. Jay has built many of these types of instruments. I have one right now that I bought from Jay and it really plays nice. He might be avle to give you some ideas on how you might be able to save it.
