Kay Speed Demon rebuild

Thin line Kay from the 60s. I made a scratch plate, changed out the pickup for a Gretch lap steel pup. Made a bridge, refinished her body. These old Kays are crudely built out of thick plywood. It is a tank but plays like a sweetheart. Good action, nice pup...

    yup  right  friggan  through  and    break out   / splintering    finish      out the  back .

    neck  is  good     and  is  0  fret  so  super low action  .

    price  ?   not   sure    pm  me   ,  im  open to  trades   too  .

    Hey Pick, i see... do those holes go all the way through the body? Yipes... It's a cool guitar though. Those pups are nice. Shouldn't be hard to add some nice plugs for the holes and cover the top with the new bridge. What's the price? Neck? Action?....

    its  not  a hollow  bot  ..  its that same  one  i posted  in   the teisco  group  a while  back

    Love to see that Kimberly Pick. I've got a uke someone drilled a screw through the sound hole out the back without pilot drilling a hole. It split the back big time. I fixed it and added a mod dot where the hole was. It plays great. Why would you want to anchor a bridge on an arch top?.... Maybe we can get something going on the Kimberly?

     awesome  guit  ..    with  a 0 fret   neck too.  too  bad  some  space herpie   drilled right through the body  to mount   bridge anchors  :-/

    Thanks Jabes, Pick. I'm loving these old slim lines. Getting an old husk to fix up isn't as easy as the solid body electrics, but it's fun looking. These babies go for bigger buck than the solid bodies too. This one has some spalting in the plywood finish. It looks cool to me, but the former owner thought it a major flaw, so the price was lower.
