  • I am for the most part an experimental builder. I try, and test, new CBG building ideas all the time. No two of my guitars are the same - there is always a new idea that needs exploring. The slanted frets are an experiment in accommodating my crook hand and fingers. On a 2-string, I have the slant set to allow easier 1-finger power cord fretting, on a 3-string, the slant needs to go the other way to allow for 3-finger fretting. Can't really tell if it works yet, I have to complete and try the experimental guitars first. The 2-string I built in collaboration with Doug Thorsvik, seems to be effective. It is however a 510mm scale length, mini-guitar. (I had to make use of what materials I had available at the time.) Will see what an instrument with a longer scale length behaves like.

  • I like the look of the slanted frets Pieter. Do they make the guitar easier to play?
