  • Here's what I started with.

  • Thanks Corey! Yes, it is a blast to play! Some of those First Act guitars are really pretty nice!

The box was originally very dry, with no obvious finish, so I applied about 4-5 hand-rubbed coats of Formby's Tung Oil. I like that stuff because it is so forgiving on streaks and such. I thought it turned out nice too. Thanks for the comments!
  • That is beautiful. What a pretty box. What did you do to make the wood look so nice? Assume you finished it somehow? I have a similar First Act that was given to me that I'd like to do something similar with. Thanks for the inspiration! Looks like it would be fun to play.
  • Thanks Andy! I really like the tone of these pup's as well. Very distinctive difference in tone between the neck and bridge with any kind of settings.

I cut down the body to fit the box on this one. A real hassle with all the measurements to line up the original holes on the body for the bridge and mounts. I did that to try and aid in keeping everything square and such, So far so good. Hope to post a video soon.
  • That is sweet Tom! I like the tone from those First Act pick ups. How did you end up mounting the neck? Did you unbolt or cut the body?
