  • Hi Bruce, I don't have a particular string favorite except with ukulele.  Build #5  Martin short scale had GHS 9's tuned dgbe and I'm going to swap them out for some Ernie Ball 10's with the same tuning.  Build #4 was a baritone ukulele scale length (20") and D'addario 10's or 11's.

    I was thinking that you obtained the degrees from the front & rear box cutouts....not the actual neck.

    I try to keep as little contact with the box lid as possible.....much the same as your builds from what I can see.

    I see you also use D'addario strings. Could you tell me what gauges you use & what tuning?

    I use D'addarion 80/20 phosphor bronze .042 .032 .024 tuning GDG with a scale length of 25 1/2" Fender.
