  • Thanks, the wood carving tool might work for me - if it's thin enough.
  • I actually used a coping saw for the fret slots ( Standard blade straight out of the package from Home Depot), just took it nice and slow. The tool in the pic is just a wood carving tool (basically like a really sharp chisel) I picked up a set of 10 (varying sizes and designs) from Hobby Lobby for $10. I used it for carving out the area where my fret marker was going and it worked really well.
  • Is that how you're making the grooves for the fret wire ? What is that tool - did you make it yourself ? I've got an idea to make a really wide fret board (big hands) that the fret wire will not go all the way across - so a saw won't work - and I'm looking for the right tool (thin enough) to make the groove.
