Hey Uncle John! It is a flat humbucker. Yes it is turned side ways, yes I know it's not supposed to be, but I like trying things I have seen before. Thanks for the comment!

I can not tell what I am looking at. Kind of neat cutout on the neck? I always worry about thin woods bowing.
