She began life as a 2 foot long piece of 1 15/16" X 8" scrap poplar. All I wanted to do was try to make an edge straight enough to glue 2 pieces together. Made a jig to use the router as a planer. Final thickness is 1 1/2". The template for the body was made using an image lifted from the internet, enlarged as big as possible on a piece of printer paper.
