  • Thanks!

  • I used enamel model paint for the red and the black fret marks.  I masked them off with some vinyl tape and then put a coat of finish over everything.

With the jack, I was wondering if that would be a problem. I wired a piezo similarly for tin gitty I built for my brother and he gets some hum from it when he plugs it in.  With this one, I've plugged it in and tested it and it seems to be fine.  I drilled a 3/8" hole through the tin, so it is about the size of the jack.  I did put a couple of cardboard "washers" on the inside and one on the outside so those might isolating the jack from the tin though I don't think it is completely insulating it.

  • How did you do the red frets?

  • Now that is some nice work.   Love the red and black frets.

People might think I would know - but I don't....  Can you put the jack right on the metal and have it work right?   I am an electronics dunce.
