  • Your right!  The angle on the saw is not steep enough.  I made a triangular wood jig that clamps to the saw backstop (it's hard to see in this picture).  The neck clamps to this jig.  Once the jig is built (a bit of cutting and gluing) you have the correct angle from then on.  Good luck!

  • I fancy getting one of these. How easy is it to clamp the wood to the base to get the right angle, as I've always assumed that the correct angle couldn't be achieved with the timber flush to the guide?

  • I love this saw for cutting an angle for an angled headstock.. It's much cleaner and simpler than my power chop saw
