this is my first attemp at an upright bass. I've got an eye bolt as the tuning key and the string is weed eater string. I used wooden tooth picks for the frets and a wooden dowel for the markers. There's a rubber stopper on the bottom that I found at my friendly Lowe's. The actual box is about 18" long and 6" deep. It stands right at 6'
