When I first built the mic I had planned to cut the rake handle down to make a mic that would fit into any standard mic clip. But after getting it home and finding out that the handle with the mic on top was the correct vocal height (for me, at any rate), I changed my mind. Instead, I stole the legs for our artificial Christmas Tree and called it good. I think it was a good call.
