#47 - My modern-electric-baritone version of the medieval bowed lyre of Scandinavia and Northern Europe. It is tuned CFF, the C being the melody string and the Fs are drones. This will probably change as I try to figure out how to play it.

  • Beautiful Kerrigan ! I have a friend nearby that makes these. Called Yoheko (sp?). It’s fingered with your fingernails (using them like slides on the horse hair strings. He makes his own horse hair braided bows for them too. Jerry Henkel is his name. I own one of his prototypes. Very cool raspy tone.
