    I use Martin light gauge strings, dropping the low and high E leaving A D G B tuned to open G. This is just what I do not to be taken as gospel

    Very nice Jim. I'm putting together a 4 string atm and I'm assuming, looking at yours, that the best strings to use are E, A, D, G. I would appreciate your opinion.
