Good use of time

The paint lid has been fitted into a piece of 3mm poplar ply for months, along with my pre-existing Gitty box. The time taken to pluck up courage to fret another neck *sigh* allowed me to get the tailpiece from Chickenbone John, and a set of Forstner bits- note the three soundholes; there are another two 1” holes in the shoulders. The flying Kay bridge had to be trimmed at both ends, and in the absence of a tidier solution, mounted on brass bolts to get the action up to acceptable.
