  Yeah, you generally want the piezo to be where the string vibration is strongest.  Would love to hear audio or video when you're done.

  pretty cool so far, but I am going to drill some holes, to try and get a little more resonance out of it. It has a piezo disk in it right now taped to the board that goes through the pan, directly under the hole in the center, and I am thinking that might ought to be stuck to the cymbal itself.
