  • love it - I went looking all over the house for an old candy tin I used to have, just because I saw this.

  • Thanks for the tech notes!

  • Thanks Jen! Inspiration was instant when I saw the tin at a garage sale for $1.
  • Michael,
I glued small blocks on each side of the neck to support the full width of the bridge and I have (2) #2 brass screws in the bridge that thread into the blocks. I'm still playing with the final saddle placement and I will glue the bridge to the tin for a more permanent mount because I'm not sure if the screws alone are enough from a longevity perspective.
  • I love the way the heart is inverted - very classy.

  • Is the bridge/saddle braced by resting on the through neck.  I ask because I have some tins but I'm not sure how best to brace them.

  • Acoustic is a little metallic but not bad. The piezo rod under the Purple Heart saddle gives a pretty clean sound.
  • How's the sound? Is it ringy/metallic?

  • Some very nice builds, Joseph!

  • Thanks Bluesheart and Anonymous Pick for the positive comments. I'm pretty happy with my 2nd effort in the CBG world. Though I've yet to use a real cigar box. Number 3 will remedy that anomaly.
