  • THAT was a fantastic find!!!! Congrats. Can't wait to see what you do with it!

  • Bill I may at some point be declared a Heretic, and be hung as a Witch.

I like the sound of the deep boxes. I can build them cheaper than I can buy them.

With the bracing I use and the type glue, I have no doubt they are stronger.

But as I get more experience, and benefit by the knowledge of others this may change ;)

  • Wow....That's a find Greg....Super. It ought to make a great resonator.  You'll find a special box for it I am sure. I bit the bullet and bought one of the Red Dog pickups.(The Old Timer model) and am waiting for just the right box. Thanks for the amplifier extravaganza....That is really neat.  I have cut back my radio-ing quite a bit. Just put up an inverted L.. 96 ft total length. Does pretty good on 80 and better on 40. Shows resonance in one little bit of 160 but haven't tried it.   Glad you are doing a little bit with it again. I had a similar situation 3 years ago and my priorities changed a little. Some things that were important, no longer seemed that important...

As for the resonator, I guess the "biscuit with a bridge" is the most popular way to go. Keep us informed on what you do with it. I just finished the Mallard box and took a break to check the email/website.  Boy does it have some great built in resonance and vibrato. Will post some pics when I can.

    Take care Greg

Look forward to hearing from you.

ps   Keep out of the way of those Buffalo....

  • Electroplated Silver. No dents, a little bling on the rim. I got this for $5.00

It passes the thump test and rings.

    Seems this one screams resonator.

    Any thoughts?
