Will -- ditto Uncle John -- a whole lot to like! Getting a 'good action' takes some trial and error, at least in my experience. One rule of thumb (remembering - NO RULES!) is that a dime thickness is about right for the string clearance at the first fret, and a quarter at the 12th. I usually get the first fret about right, but typically a little more clearance at the 12th. I've got a stash of various sized bolts, eyebolts, etc. to try for the bridge until it 'works'. But - what a great 1st build!
Mr. B. A whole lot to like. Box and layout looks great. Frets, fingerboard and headstock look very good.
I've found that it's better to have an inch and a half or more between the nut and nearest tuner,. Seems to keep the strings in place better and put more down pressure on the nut.
Maybe you can come back and work on the action or maybe just go a bit high and slide it. Sometimes those wood bridges are okay and sometimes it works better to have a bolt or screw bridge.
