  • Very nice.
  • Congratulations are DEFINITELY in order here. NICE attention to detail...abeautiful build all around. Must sound awesome! CHEERS!!!
  • Looks great!
  • What a beauty, Scott! Congrats on your front page honors!!!
  • I'm using a bolt-on neck on my (avatar) mandola, and have had no problems whatever with the string tension.
Of course, the Cohiba box is very strong; solid cedar. Also the top is pretty thick compared to that of a plywood box.
If I were making a mandolin with the typical 1/8" plywood top, I'd use a bit of bracing and perhaps a bridge plate.
  • congrats on the Featured build of the day a worthy winner - i must admit i'm not a mando fan but i really like this , looks like much love was added in the making of it and it shows , very nice

  • I have been wanting to build one of these for a while now. I have always been afraid of the string tension.
