The walnut/oak neck in process. Here I've glued the pieces together, leaving a channel for the 1/4" steel "truss rod", and glued up the scarf joint on the end for the head. can't find my spokeshave, so I'm not sure how I'll carve down the back side. Its an inch thick here.
