  • That's cool - I think I also might try a piezo/single coil blend for my next build.

  • Versatile and awesome looking....the Whole Package Bob!

  • Super build!

Might have to try that pickup combo myself next time too...

  • I will, thanks
  • The wiring is very simple.  Feel free to PM when when you do it and I can send you a diagram.

  • Wow, that's really cool! I thought they were just volume and tone pots. I'm kind of new to electronics, but I think I'm gonna try this on my next build.
  • The blend is great - the knob near the middle blends from 100% single coil all the way clockwise, 100% piezo all the way counter-clockwise, 50/50 blend at the middle, and infinite adjustment in between.  The single coil is super clean, so having the ability to dial in a little bit of that dirty piezo tone really adds to the versatility.

The other pot is a tone pot, and it has a different effect depending on how much piezo you dial in w/the blend.  Together with the blend, you get a pretty wide range of tone possibilities.

  • Man, I love this guitar! Especially the pairing of wood. How do the pickups sound blended together? I've always wanted to try it.
