My Transcend CBG at my Art Exhibition

I got to jam on one of my most recent builds in the gallery among my ceramic sculptures during my solo exhibition "Potential Energy" at the Appalachian Center for Craft. Here's a video of it: https://youtu.be/FLMd6_I7hNY

  • Here's the little radio I was playing through. She's not a looker, but she sounds good. The hack was really easy to convert it to a guitar amp. I tapped into the wires to the tape head. So you have to select Cassette, and press Play for it to work. :)

  • Thank you Jerry! I appreciate it. :)

  • Thank you Muddy! That little radio is pretty sweet. The previous owners left it in the garage of the first home I owned. I used to use the radio when working out there, but for about 10 years it's sat idle. When I discovered the you can hack a radio/tape player into a guitar amp, I immediately dug this up and tried it. It was really very easy! I did a more modern (but still 15 years old) boom box too that has a much fuller sound but not as much crunch. I'll post a picture of that little radio in a bit.

  • nice work.,.,way cool.,.,congrats.,.,

  • Your radio hack sounds overdriven naturally. Sounds great.
  • Thank you Muddy! This was taken in the gallery at the Appalachian Center for Craft (part of Tennessee Tech University) during my art exhibition "Potential Energy". I was so excited to bring up some instruments to play surrounded by my sculptures last weekend. It was wonderful!!! I recorded a little video in there, but I only had room to bring my old tape deck that I hacked so the sound is pretty gritty and low-fi. But here it is if you're interested.

  • Nice git! The room you're in looks awesome too!
