  • wow i love this one !!!

  • Uncle John & Maddog:  Funny... Any fears i would have of "showing off" would be quickly dispelled as soon as I start playing.  I'll try those tunings, thanks guys.

  • Excellent, and no squeaks!

  • I had one for a while with GDg and DGb - both open Gs  - a low one and high one.   Worked pretty well and was practical.   This next is stupid - I felt like a show off with a double neck and  eventually robbed the necks for singles.

  • I haven't done a double yet but I know some guys will tune one to a different tuning and use it as a drone. Maybe tune the top to DAD and the bottom GDG? Might sound kinda cool with the low in the background with the highs for the main.

  • Thanks Maddog and Uncle John.  Chuck the tuning is D-A-D on both necks.  I put a full set of heavy electric strings (12's).  So I've also tried it with standard E-A-D-G-B-E tuning.  It's fun and a little maddening to try to jump back and forth between the necks to play standard 6 string tunes, so maybe I'll stay with open tuning on both necks.  Any suggestions?

  • Nice Dave!!!

When you put those 2 flatpups on there be careful, she might just spontaneously combust :-)

  • Really nice.  Love the wood patina.

  • What is the tuning?
