  • Don, what a GREAT beginning to a sweet journey! But of course it opens up an entire world, no? I love everything about this build, kudos! -Glenn

  • Nice!

  • Thanks for the kind comments guys. I guess I'm addicted, after I check my email in the morning the first page I go to is here to see what new builds are out.

  • Really nice build, Don!  I like one-stringers - didley bows, canjos, etc.  Really fun to plink around on!  Well done!

  • Very nice! I love the long neck!

  • Thanks Jeff, it sounds great, I'm having a ball with it, can't leave it alone.  I'm using a bottle neck slide, keep picking it up and making it whine.  Already planning another one.

  • A class Diddley Don kept it simple great choice of box as well getting access to the wireing . Hows it sound ?.

  • My first didley bow, after making two CBGs; Tea box, 4x5x2.5 inches; old tool handle cut to 36 inches; salvaged tuner; scrap bone for nut; bridge is biscuit-joiner wood wafer with brass rod; Gitty piezo; guitar B string; pop-rivet string guides. The box is soft mystery wood, poor tone, so i cut the bottom off and replaced with a cedar shingle for soundboard. Scale is 26 inches. No frets, but harmonics are marked with red paint at 5th, 7th and 12th fret positions. It sounds great, good resonance, even better plugged in.
