Hey Brian, I like the scalloping. Mostly from an aesthetic perspective. Playing I don't really notice any significant difference because I don't scallop all the way out to the fret.
I get young metal heads wanting to have their fretboards scalloped all the time? I let them play an acoustic I have, which usually shows them it’s not for everyone :)
