  • Like the plate, the fret markers, ooh, the key.  Cool on the speaker as a pick-up.  I did that with a home made harp amp in a jar.  .  The demon thing scares me.
  • it also has a 3 1/2 inch speaker as a pick-up hot glued to the plate inside - 1/4 inch input near the bottom of the 9
  • hey dave - thanks for the comment - and you are correct - this was a very primative build - nailed together the box - nailed the neck on - used 3 flat heads on the top & drilled the rear plate in the corners and installed with flat heads - i did bend the plate slightly so it would tighten to the frame as i screwed it down - the scale length is 65.4mm or 25 3/4
  • Looks cool.  I have an old plate, and I'm thinking of trying this. How is the plate secured?  From the picture, it looks like 3 screws into the neck and string tension on the bridge.  Are the edges fastened in any way?  Also, what's the scale length?
