Although this photo does not show the cutout to the lid at an angle you can see it as the door is closed, believe me, it all fits very nicely at this point. That pull saw and hacksaw did the trick nicely for me. I am all thumbs with a box cutter or razor knife and I only have a finite amount of them thumbs to begin with, so I didn't use either one on this project. :-)I still have to trim out the neck and fret board and glue them, as well as make some dicisions regarding where to place nut, bridge, pop-rivets for strings and volume knobs and all, but it is slowly taking shape. I'll call this my Art box, as the name will likely be hidden except for the ART showing.
