Here's what I did with the barrel I have. Uncle John gave me the cigar barrel and said do something cool with this and this what I came up with.

im thinking threaded rod through the bands to hold the shape,a nice top and you have two bodys like those itialian stringed things

If you could cut them in half long ways, then you could place a flat board over the opening -- then you would have a rounded back CBG.

The casks measure 7" tall and 5" across the narrow and about 5 1/2" across the middle. My first thought was also amp, with 2 it would make a neat set, matching guitar and amp.

I made an amp out of a Vega Cigar Cask. My picture is on the site. Not as easy to work with as I thought, but worth it.
