This was a special build. Hand thrown ceramic pot by mama turtlehead in the raku style. Raku produces cool metallic colors which you can see through the calfskin head. I used locally sourced black locust for the neck, which worked out great, I'll be using it again for sure. I made it a 3 string - going for shamisen and or akonting type sounds with this one. Nylgut strings help to give it a unique worldly sound.
