CBG009--- "37-cent Git" Full-Shot-4

This one uses the piezo pickup I bought from Ted Crocker a month or two ago. I was waiting for just the right git to use it in, and this is the one. This thing sounds great, either acoustic or plugged in, and I am very happy with how the coins worked out on it.

  • Thanks LJ. Yeah I stained the poplar with the darkest stain I could find - an oil-based "Ebony". It came out pretty good... but I have to say I really don't care for poplar and probably won't use it again.
  • Great build Gitty. I love the soundholes.Is that poplar stained? I like the whethered look on the neck. I need to spend more time with that.I built a beat up Romeo and Juliet box a couple weeks ago but i didnt age the neck.Afterwards I realized I should have.I guess Ill have to keep learning as I go.
  • I drilled the sound-holes in it, and then drilled the holes for the 4 brass screws in each to attach it to the soundbox.
  • Hey thanks man. That is a brass-plated antiqued inset they use for pocket doors and whatnot.
