  • I like this. Does the bridge sit on the top, and then the sound post dowel transfers the pressure to the internal resonator, or does the bridge rest directly on the post? For the former, you could even use another cigar box lid as the internal soundboard, effectively (almost) doubling the area of the top.
  • thanks for askin jim. yes it is a reso experament . that material is counter top formica , it was a thought a the time, and it worked good. 3/64'' thick aluminum worked allot better. this is a top view, i take all the tops off, easy to work on that way. i do have a video doin a sound check on my page, that one has aluminum in it that is 1/4'' up from the bottom... welcome to the nation, you will like it here.
  • Hey Man this is very cool - nice execution. What is gong on in this build? I am new at this and wonder is this some kind of Reso project? What is the material? Is the view from the bottom of the box or have you cut the top off? Sorry if missed comments that you may have somewhere else. I am also new on the nation and learning the ropes...Thanks Jim
