  • I had never fretted anything before and tried out various of my saws on some scrap wood, they all make kerfs which were too wide. Was thinking of filing down the edges of a hacksaw blade or similar when I read about this one in a forum on here (I think). What a find, now all I want to do is more fretting lol

  • I have fretted dozens of necks with this saw---I have one on the bench to mark and cut today!305864078?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024

  • I like them for all kinds of cuts. I slide mine along the edge of my box to trim off excess wood before sanding. I've learned to make my box wood a little over sized. Trying to make it just the right size would lead to poor fits. The saw trims up my overage in a flash.

  • Dave I can really recommend them, to be honest they will be very useful for general woodwork when I want to saw a dowel off flush because the lack of set on the teeth means you can get right up close to the workpiece without damaging it, but for the specific job of fretting I reckon they are going to be hard to beat for the price!

  • Thanks for the info. I like these pull saws. I need a new one. ...
