David, yeah it works! But could be better. I didn't get the same piezo as everyone else has, but it definitely works. Needs a preamp -- which is what I understand about all piezos. At my first opp, I'm ordering http://store.qkits.com/moreinfo.cfm/QK17 . Plus you can find more here -- is you haven't already found them.
I mounted mine speaker-side down right under the bridge as to get the sound and the vibration. I might even add another. I have seen a schematic somewhere which has two piezos in serial. Can't seem to find it now.
