DIY cajon pedal

Just finished this pedal from plans by Rose Ericson. Wooden beater is temporary as the felt one still hasn't arrived from the Far East.
Played back to front with the heel.

That is pretty cool.  I have the cajon.   I find it hare to sing, play and keep time with my foot.  Somehow, it is more natural to use my heel like you have it set up for here.  Neat!

Have you thought to use a tennis ball over the beater?

Buzzing strings when fretted. Frets look good. I have a zero fret license plate guitar. Break angle I can inprove at the nut however the buzzing is coming from the bridge, I used a banjo bridge.
