Burnt out can build in progress

This was an olive oil can. I never liked it enough to build it until I burned off t he paint.The poor neck is going into its third build. I hope the third time is the charm. The last build it was in was a double neck. It worked fine, but I just didn't like it.I popped into the chat room to ask about wiring the mag pup. Pick, Harrison and Reeds were on and gave me several tips. I think I will put some kind of thin spacer between the pup and the can.

    ..Coming in a bit late on this one but as I've got a couple of o/oil cans cleaned up i'm wondering why the burn?didn't you like the design ?

    no matter -is that the neck with the kite pin ?i like it ..

    Thanks Be.  I have it strung up and it's going to be good.  Needs a higher saddle and the usual tweaking.   Think I will just go with a piezo.

    ooh LOVE the look of that John!! You must use a lot of olive oil!...I have a few big old petrol can's that belonged to Dave's Granddad in the garage which would make great guits, but I think they'd end up too heavy for me to play : -/

    Thanks Tim.   I have higher than usual hopes for this one.  I tried to strengthen the inside and hope to avoid 'metal moving noises' while it is played.  Since this is the 3rd 'box' for this neck, it should be evident that I do not always like how they turn out.
